Christmas Shopping
The Cookeville Jaycees provide Christmas gifts for under privileged children in Putnam County. They work closley with the Department of Children Services and the Putnam County school system to recieve the names of the families in need. The families fill out a wish list that the members use to shop for the children at K-Mart. The average number of families that the Cookeville Jaycees shop for each year is 100 at an average budget of $5000.
Christmas Party
The Cookeville Jaycees hold a Christmas party for under privileged children in Putnam County. Past parties were held at laser tag and bounce playground locations.
Camp Discovery
The Cookeville Jaycees help prepare Camp Discovery to open for the summer campers and close in the fall. The members help prepare landscape, the linnen, and do several other odd jobs around the camp.
5k Run/Walk
The Cookeville Jaycees partner with the Tennessee Technological University Cross Country Team to hold a 5k Run/Walk. Trophies are given by age brackets and gender. A free t-shirt, goodie bags, food, and refreshments are available to all participants.
